Debut ~ Face Mask Mondays Hosted By Afeeyah ♥♥

Hey sweetthangs; how are you all doing? I have been thinking for a while that I wanted to start something different on my blog; something that is unique to me and I thought YES MASKS! I love face masks, I own a lot of em and you look oh so silly when you have one on so why not pump some silly into this ole blog.
Masks are a very integral part of my skincare routine, I try to use a mask at least once a week and they all have different functions depending on what you need for your skin and what skin type you have.
I wanted to tell you about the masks; how it felt, if it worked and so forth. Now this will be done on a Monday and I won't say every monday cos I will be lying but hopefully every other monday or so... so you ready?

So we start off with a freshly cleaned face and don't mind my attire but this is my pamper night and I am in my 'chilling, relaxing' attire so excuse my XXL Superman jumper from Primarni (am a bonafide gangster 90% of the time LOL)

I am starting off with the Origins Clear Improvement Face mask because this is by far my most used face mask and I think I even did a mini review here.
As you can see it comes out like a clay like colour and it indeed contains active charcoal which draws out all the dirt and impurities that are stuck in your pores.

It also contains White China clay that absorbs environmental toxins, and lecithin dissolves impurities. Everytime I use it, my skin feels very deeply cleaned and free of any impurities.
My pores also feel like all the gunk has been removed from them.

Peak-a -boo

This mask is geared towards the normal to oily skin gals as it is a very deep clean so if you have very sensitive and dry skin it might irritate your skin and redden your skin. Even though I am oily my skin does feel tight after using it so I can only guess how it will feel if you are dry.

This is one of the best masks out there and it is one of Origin's best selling masks; so if you have normal to oily skin I suggest you give it a go and you will see the difference.

hmm so what is this thing called again?

To prep my face for the mask I cleansed my face with the Purity 3in1 face and eyes cleanser and used the Ole Henrikssen exfoliator to gently scrub the skin and get it ready for the mask. When the skin is prepped, the mask is more effective as it can work deep down to the 5 layers of the skin rather than just the top layer if there's still a lot of dead skin cells.

Then you wait for the mask to do its magic; I wait for at least 30 mins to an hour and get on with my chores or pampering; in this case I was reading my 'Goddess Guide' which was a christmas/santa present which is simply amazing; you can get it here.

Right so that's my first ever Face Mask Mondays (FMM), did you enjoy it? Are there masks out there that you think I ought to try? Are there changes/adjustments you think I ought to make?
I really want to hear your opinions so lemme know,
Have a lovely week and see you again soonest

Review ~ Nars Sheer Matte Foundation ♥♥

Hey loves; I have rekindled my love with my Nars Sheer matte foundation and I was asked to share my views on this foundation and I thought why not?
As we all know it's a bit hard to find a nice variety of darker foundation shades for us chocolate beauties so most of my foundations are high end. Nars is high end and this foundation is about £31 so before you go ahead and spend your hard earned cash I want too give you all the information you need.

Review ~ Dr Bronner's 18in1 Peppermint Pure Castille Magic Soap

Happy Sunday; hope you're all well. Today was such a lovely sunny weather and for all my UK readers you know what the sun does to us; we gooo crazy for the sun. Hope you had a fun day.
Today I want to talk about a product that has been my favourite since the beginning of this year; the Dr Bronner's Magic Soap. It's the 18-in-1 Peppermint Pure Castille soap made with organic oils. I had heard about this soap from Vicky but of course it was not availlable in the UK (or so I thought). My heart literally skipped when I saw it in TK Maxx; TK Maxx is amazing for finding american and international products that you can't find in the regular shops.

My Top 3 HERO Face Masks Reviews ♥♥

Hey sweetiepies, how are y'all doing? Hope you had a lovely weekend; mine was awesome!
So when I put up my everyday makeup post up, I got a request to do a skincare routine and my skin was looking lush then I even had a no makeup picture on Instagram.
HOWEVER, as soon as that request came in my skin was like 'Time to f**k s**t up' '___' I broke out like crazy all over my forehead and the right side of my face with big juicy and painful spots!!!
I think I know the culprit; I was trying out the Philosophy Oil free Primer and it worked out real good '___'
So this has been my life for the past 2 weeks and I wanted to share what has been helping me through this tough time. To keep your skin looking good and to help reduce breakouts; masks are a must.

The first mask I am going to talk about is the Origins 'Clear Improvement' face mask.
Ok so it says its an activated charcoal mask to clear pores; this is really important as I have combination/oily acne prone skin so it helps to remove any impurities that may have gathered in the pores which can also cause spots.
I really like this mask because my skin just feel really soft and clean after I use it.

The second mask is my Sanctuary '5 minute thermal detox mask' and this mask actually heats up when you put it on; just briefly though, it doesn't burn or anything like that.
I love the fact that it is charcoal as well so it deeply cleanses your skin and draws out all impurities and at balances the oils in your skin; this is especially good if you have combination skin.

The last but not least mask is the Body Shop's 'Blue Corn 3 in 1 Deep Cleansing Mask'; this mask has corn in it (as you can probably tell lol) so it has a 3 in 1 property; it cleanses, exfoliates and purifies which is what you need really. I love how it deep cleanses and the exfoliants also allow it to remove any dead skin.

These masks are so many and I use them interchangeably; ideally I should have a mask at least twice a week but sometimes I forget to and sometimes I go for 3 times a week (espescially when I have a break out). The perfect time to use a mask is directly after exfoliating your skin as after exfoliation your pores are open so a mask can be extra effective and draw out any impurities from your pores and remove any dead skin.

I am learning a lot about my skin recently as I have bee working as a skincare consultant for a while now so any requested posts, please let me know and the skincare routine video is coming; I promise!
Wishing you all a lovely week ahead.

Caudalie Instant Foaming Cleanser Review ♥♥

Hiya dolls; how are you all? Hope everyone is doing really good and don't worry, Friday is just around the corner.
My skin has been acting up A LOT recently and I have been breaking out; it might be the weather change or the fact that I started using a new nigh gel :(
So I decided to start all over; I stopped using the night gel and started using my Caudalie Instant Foaming cleanser daily.
