Shoe In

How do you dress for success? Do you dress for the job you want or the job you have? Are your shoes made for walking or climbing the ladder of success? Well, you know upward mobility is always on the mind of an avid blogger. This week we take the plunge into Spring and Summer trends, but not in the way of dressing down but more buttoning up. Does that mean we have work on the mind? Maybe. You'll just have to see for yourself.

Kiko Full Protection Foundation Stick Review ♥♥

Hey dolls; how are you all doing? I hope you are all good and having a lovely April so far. I have been so busy because am working on a project and I will be done by the end of this month so I can get back to posting a lot more regularly as I have SOOO much to share with you.
Today I am reviewing the Kiko foundation sticks I talked about in this post; sorry about the Iphone pics but I am struggling with my camera lol *you guys know how technically challenged I am*

So I decided to try out the Kiko Full Protection foundation sticks; I bought 3 colours (12, 13 and 16) and they were about £3-4 each which was really affordable. I used all 3 for this look;
I used 13 as a base for my whole face; 12 for under my eyes as a concealer and 16 to contour.

So I went ahead and primed as usual with Smashbox Photofinish in Light and then applied the sticks directly to my face and then used my fingers to blend it it. I also used the beauty blender to blend it in even better to give a flawless finish. I then added my chosen blush and then finished it off with my chosen powder; Mac mineralise Skinfinish in Dark deep.

It felt a bit weird using a foundation stick as I am used to liquid foundation and I felt it was a very sheer foundation so I had to keep adding some more to get the coverage I wanted.
It is a 2 in 1 formula; the inner circle gives has an illuminating formula so it gives you a glow and the outer circle is a creamy texture that allows super easy blending.

Looking at the pictures I can see that it really did give me an amazing glow and it looks like a natural glow not an unhealthyFRIEDfish kinda glow lol

So the PROS;
  • it applied really easily
  • blended super easy
  • gave an amazing glow
  • it has an SPF 15 so you are protected

 The cons:
  • I felt like the colour was a bit lighter than my face and I felt a bit washed out
  • The coverage was very sheer and I had to keep applying

My duck face says heeeey!!

So overall; this is a perfect product if you want just a sheer coverage and an amazing glow.
I think I might give it another go, maybe just add it to my everyday routine so maybe add a stick to my current routine and not just use all the sticks on my face at the same time.

I also wore the Kiko mauvey pink lipstick hauled as well; it has a super satin formula so it goes on really creamy and it looks like a very natural everyday colour; it gives me that my-lips-but-better look.

So if anything Kiko is a great brand with lovely affordable products so you can afford to try their products and decide what you like best; I think their lip products are so far my favourite and the concealer stick is also part of my everyday foundation routine; I bought one in Italy and picked another up when I run out.

Have you tried any of these products mentioned? (p.s. these sticks are no longer been sold on Kiko but am sure you can find em online or try their other foundations; they have a new Matte Mouuse foundation that I am eyeing at the moment)
Have you tried any Kiko products?
Leave your comments below bombshells.

Have a lovely jubbly week.
Lots of love,

Skinade; The secret to perfect skin?

Hey dolls; how goes it? Happy Monday and here's an awesome post for y'all.
I have been seeing this new Skinade product everywhere and I decided to look into it; turns out it's a new revolutionary drink that works from the inside out to rebuild and strengthen the collagen matrix below the skin’s surface, boost natural levels of hydration and reduce fine lines and wrinkles.
skinade, skincare, collagen boost, win skinade

The 150ml drink claims to provide everything your skin needs to remain healthy from the inside, rather than from a cream or moisturiser. Each bottle contains skin boosting ingredients including collagen, omega 3 and 6, vitamin C, the amino acid l-lysine and B complex vitamins, said to be at the same level as 9 tablets would provide.

Skinade contains only the highest quality ingredients with no artificial flavours or colouring and fewer than 35 calories. With natural flavours of peach and mangosteen, it offers a pleasant tasting and convenient addition to your daily skincare regime. I follow Millie Macintosh on Instagram and I have seen her rave reviews about this product and her skin is so beautiful and she has been looking after herself recently so keep up with her for health and fitness updates.

Models have also been seen with this 'miracle' product and oh it has been featured on VOGUE too so you know there's a lot of promise.

It has been recommended by dermatologists, cosmetic surgeons AND skincare professionals; now I am really pleased about that because we all wanna be sure of the products we use.
So I had the opportunity of getting a link that allows you to sign up for the chance to win 30days worth which is worth £90 for FREE. I wasted no time in signing up and it took exactly 14secs and it asks about your skin concerns.

I recommend all of you lovelies to quickly sign up COSSSS why not? We all love our skin and want it to get better, and am glad I can share new and amazing products with y'all.
Let me know in the comments if you have heard about this? Or tried it? And let me know if you have signed up for the 30 days FREE trial.
Have a lovely week babes

My Top 3 HERO Face Masks Reviews ♥♥

Hey sweetiepies, how are y'all doing? Hope you had a lovely weekend; mine was awesome!
So when I put up my everyday makeup post up, I got a request to do a skincare routine and my skin was looking lush then I even had a no makeup picture on Instagram.
HOWEVER, as soon as that request came in my skin was like 'Time to f**k s**t up' '___' I broke out like crazy all over my forehead and the right side of my face with big juicy and painful spots!!!
I think I know the culprit; I was trying out the Philosophy Oil free Primer and it worked out real good '___'
So this has been my life for the past 2 weeks and I wanted to share what has been helping me through this tough time. To keep your skin looking good and to help reduce breakouts; masks are a must.

The first mask I am going to talk about is the Origins 'Clear Improvement' face mask.
Ok so it says its an activated charcoal mask to clear pores; this is really important as I have combination/oily acne prone skin so it helps to remove any impurities that may have gathered in the pores which can also cause spots.
I really like this mask because my skin just feel really soft and clean after I use it.

The second mask is my Sanctuary '5 minute thermal detox mask' and this mask actually heats up when you put it on; just briefly though, it doesn't burn or anything like that.
I love the fact that it is charcoal as well so it deeply cleanses your skin and draws out all impurities and at balances the oils in your skin; this is especially good if you have combination skin.

The last but not least mask is the Body Shop's 'Blue Corn 3 in 1 Deep Cleansing Mask'; this mask has corn in it (as you can probably tell lol) so it has a 3 in 1 property; it cleanses, exfoliates and purifies which is what you need really. I love how it deep cleanses and the exfoliants also allow it to remove any dead skin.

These masks are so many and I use them interchangeably; ideally I should have a mask at least twice a week but sometimes I forget to and sometimes I go for 3 times a week (espescially when I have a break out). The perfect time to use a mask is directly after exfoliating your skin as after exfoliation your pores are open so a mask can be extra effective and draw out any impurities from your pores and remove any dead skin.

I am learning a lot about my skin recently as I have bee working as a skincare consultant for a while now so any requested posts, please let me know and the skincare routine video is coming; I promise!
Wishing you all a lovely week ahead.
