Skincare 101 ~ My Top 3 Cleansing Balms

Hi loves, hope you are all doing good. It's been a long week and I am finally relaxing and catching up on X-Factor but I wanted to talk about cleansing balms today. I have oily skin so the idea of putting a type of greasy balm on my face has never appealed to me but when I lost my cleansing balm-ginity at Lush I never looked back

Cleansing balms are amazing because they can really break down all the dirt and impurities gently without stripping your face off of any moisture; you still have moisture in your skin. So quickly before I go into my 3 fave ones, I will just quickly let you know how I apply the balms. I warm the balm up in my palms and massage it onto my face ensuring I massage my neck as well; and then I leave it for about 2-5mins then I use a muslin cloth or a face towel(you can get one for about 50p in Wilkos) and drench it in hot water(NOT boiling water) and then use it to take off the balm and the makeup just comes off with it.
I chose 3 cleansing balms that I have enjoyed using and are different price ranges so you can have different options.

Lush ~ Ultraband £7.25 buy here

First up is Lush Ultrabland; I love this stuff and I think this is my second or third tub; now I like Lush because it doesn't contain too many ingredients and it's good for your skin. There are only 10 ingredients in this tub and here are a few; almond oil, rosewater and honey. Almond oil hydrates the skin (and also hair, I use the pure one on my hair as well). Rosewater calms and soothes and honey is an antiseptic which moisturises as well. This is my favourite of the 3 and I always reach for it as it is so gentle, espescially on my eyes as my eyes are very sensitive.

The Body Shop Camomile Cleansing Butter ~ £12 buy here

The next one is this cleansing butter from The Body Shop; this obviously contains camomile which is very gentle on every skin type; espescially if you have sensitive skin. It says that it is suitable for contact lens wearers but I wouldn't be able to confirm that. It also contains shea butter (known to be very moisturising) and olive oil. Olive oil is a really good makeup remover; you can use it solely to take off your makeup and it is very gentle too. To be honest I don't reach for this as much as my Lush one but it works really good.

Emma Hardie Cleanser £36 (I know) ~ buy here

And last but definitely not least is the Emma Hardie Cleansing Balm; and it is the most expensive cleansing balm I own yet; I got in at Space NK and there is so much rave about this in blogger world so I had to try it. I really love it but I try to use it on special occasions; this is NOT an everyday cleanser; it cost too much for that. This cleanser has some amazing ingredients; moringa seed extract, wild sea fennel and Vitamin E to balance, purify and help to minimise the pores. It also contains orange, neroli and mandarin extracts to rejuvenate and revitalise the skin. And finally it has jasmine, cedarwood and rose to help recondition the skin. It has so many amazing benefits and guess what you can actually sleep with; it makes your skin look plumper, smoother and younger. I have tried it twice already and my face looks and feels tons better in the morning.

So these are my 3 Top cleansing balms with different ingredients and different prizes so you can always go with what your budget allows and hello to fresh, smoother, plumper and younger skin!
Do you use cleansing balms? Which one is your favourite; let's have a chat about it below.
